Question: What is the difference between the 300 Series, CT Series and 5000 Series intake filters?
Answer: The 300 series is a cost efficient, entry level crossdraft intake filter that is 1.5 inch thick 2-ply .5" self sealing polyester with a green tacky coating on the air exit side. The 300 series offers an 83% efficiency rating @ 5-10 microns (100 FPS).The Custom Tacky line is a reusable mid-grade crossdraft intake filter that offers enhanced filtration over the 300 Series and features removable internal frames. CT series filters are made with 2-ply .75" self sealing polyester with a tacky air exit side. These intake filters are also reusable, just back flush with water to remove dust and reapply some tacky filter coating on the air exit side. Custom Tacky filters are 94% efficient @ the 5-10 micron range (100 FPS). These filters can be reordered without the internal frames which lowers filter and logistics costs. Simply pull out your old frames, insert into the new filters and reinstall them in the booth. The 5000 Series is a premium top-of-the-line intake filter offering the highest level of protection. 5K series filters are suitable for use in crossdraft or downdraft spray booths. These 2.5" thick filters are made from 3 layers of polyester with tacky between the 2nd and 3rd layer which enables a 97.3% efficiency @ 5-10 microns and greater than 99% at 10 microns and above.
